THE TWO WITNESSES:
Revelation
11:3-6 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall
prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in
sackcloth.

These are the
two olive trees,
and the
two candlesticks
standing before the God of the earth. 5
And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth,
and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must
in this manner be killed. 6
These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of
their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and
to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.
Who are the candlesticks (lampstands)
Revelation 1:20 seven lampstands are the seven churches. NIV
Revelation 1:20 and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches. KJV
Matthew
5:14-16
"You
are the light
of the
world.
A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a
lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand,
and it gives light to all who
are in
the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your
good works and glorify your Father in heaven.
It was when God commanded His light to shine in our hearts that we began to see how excellent it is to know Jesus Christ, compared to all other things. 2 Corinthians 4:6.
The lampstand was therefore like a tree of gold. ‘In Him was life and the life was the light of men’. John 1:4. The Lampstand was lit permanently, to give light inside the Holy Place. ‘The true light which enlightens every man was coming into the world’. John 1:9.
WHO ARE THE OLIVE TREES?
Romans 11:17-21 17 If some of the branches have been broken off, and you, though a wild olive shoot, have been grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing sap from the olive root, 18 do not consider yourself to be superior to those other branches. If you do, consider this: You do not support the root, but the root supports you. 19 You will say then, “Branches were broken off so that I could be grafted in.” 20 Granted. But they were broken off because of unbelief, and you stand by faith. Do not be arrogant, but tremble. 21 For if God did not spare the natural branches, he will not spare you either.
Jeremiah
11:16-17 16
The LORD called you a thriving
olive tree
with
fruit beautiful in form.
But with the roar of a mighty storm
he
will set it on fire,
and its branches will be broken.

The Jews are the Olive tree. Each person is a branch. Jesus is the Root. We, the gentiles were grafted in. The JEWS are the “NATURAL BRANCH”.

servant whom I have chosen,

nor will there be one after me.
